Workshops – Labour Law and Immigration

Workers without Borders

Untitled

General reporters: Stefanie Tack, Stappers, Eliaerts & Thiers, Belgium

Global mobility is on the rise. More and more companies increasingly operate on a cross-border scale. However, companies assigning their employees to other countries are often confronted with increased formalities and requirements affecting cross-border employment. At first glance, only the work place of the employee temporarily changes. However, many other legal issues come into play and employers and employees must comply with the rules and regulations governing immigration, labour and social security law of each of those countries. For our labour law and immigration law workshop, we expect a high attendance. All participants will experience, in a very practical and interactive way, all steps of the procedure employers need to follow when sending their employees to work in one or many other countries. Different countries will be participating in this workshop and will be represented by an expert, who will provide the participants with relevant and practical information. An expert in the field of cross-border employment will introduce and conclude our workshop.
